Why Teethpaste is Special

Pure, Organic & Effective Ingredients

We use only clean, organic ingredients individually chosen to support and help improve your oral health naturally. All of our ingredients are sustainably sourced, cruelty-free, non-GMO, paleo, keto and vegan friendly.

OUR INGREDIENTS

Flavoured by Organic Essential Oils

The only flavour in our organic toothpaste comes from the naturally-occurring flavours of pure, certified organic therapeutic grade essential oils (specifically selected for their beneficial properties) that we have masterfully harnessed into our formulas. We lightly sweeten and soften some of our Teethpaste blends with organic stevia, a natural herb.

OUR INGREDIENTS

Sugar Free, Glycerin Free, Fluoride Free, Foaming Agent Free

What we leave out is just as important as what we put in. Our organic Teethpaste is free from common ingredients found in so-called natural toothpastes that rarely impart oral benefits but are used as cheap fillers to bulk up toothpaste.

Handcrafted in New Zealand

We Love Organics Organic Oral Care is lovingly handcrafted by us right here in NZ in small batches to ensure freshness and quality consistency.

Recyclable & Reusable

Our food grade plastic tubes are recyclable in NZ residential recycling bins, and our glass jars can be recycled, or washed and reused in the home.

At We Love Organics, there’s a Teethpaste for every smile.

Why Teethpaste

We Love Organics Holistic Oral Care was created out of our family’s need for a clean, natural and organic toothpaste, free from glycerin, sugars, fluoride, flavours, colours, foaming agents, and other ingredients that we believe are counterproductive to achieving good oral health and wellbeing.

We Love Organics co-owner Cathy had searched long and hard for a truly organic toothpaste to no avail, so she started making her own with remineralising bentonite clay and flavouring it with real, pure organic therapeutic grade essential oils. Cathy and her family quickly fell in love with brushing with a paste that left their mouths feeling truly clean, fresh and bright.

With her young teenage children developing wisdom teeth, Cathy created her own special TeethDrops to effectively soothe and heal toothaches of all kinds, while helping fight bacteria and boost the immune system. People always remarked on her children’s healthy, strong teeth and soon others wanted to use her special formulations as well.

Over ten years since that first humble batch of Teethpaste, Cathy and her daughter Zara founded We Love Organics together so that you and your family could enjoy the benefits of pure, clean and effective organic toothpaste and oral care too.

Oil Pulling: A Workout for Your Mouth

What is ‘swishing’ or oil pulling?

Like lifting weights to increase bone density, oil pulling is a workout for your mouth, strengthening your jaw, gums and teeth.

An ancient ayurvedic practice, oil pulling has a myriad of benefits, including…

  • Strengthening the jaw, gums and teeth.
  • Increasing salvia production, necessary for remineralisation.
  • Easing jaw tension and assisting with TMJ.
  • Helping aid growing mouths and teeth.
  • Reducing inflammation and conditions like gingivitis.
  • Supporting healthy detoxification.

In Ayurveda, oil pulling is practiced to ‘pull’ toxins, bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi from the mouth preventing them from entering the bloodstream and supressing immune health. The practice of oil pulling can also help to prevent the accumulation of plaque and other nasty bacteria, as well as dislodge food debris, making it excellent for those who find flossing challenging.

We recommend adding oil pulling, or ‘swishing’ as we call it, to your daily routine as part of a holistic lifestyle and natural oral care regime.

How to Swish: Oil Pulling Step by Step
  1. Take 1-2 tsp. of Organic Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, Organic Pure MCT Coconut Oil, or another organic food grade carrier oil of your choice.
  2. Swish around your mouth and pull the oil through your teeth, over and again, for 5-7 minutes to start with, building up each day until you can swish for 15-20 minutes comfortably. This is how long it takes for the oil to dislodge and collect the bacteria from your mouth. As you pull the oil through your teeth and swish it around your mouth, your mouth will produce additional saliva that will blend with the oil, making it easier to swish. Do not swallow.
  3. Spit out after 15-20 minutes, then brush with Teethpaste. Do not swish longer than 20 minutes as the toxins may reabsorb into your body after this point.
Our Oil Pulling Tips
  • The best time to do oil pulling is first thing in the morning after tongue scraping on an empty stomach, before brushing your teeth with Teethpaste, or 2 hours after a meal.
  • Try to fit oil pulling into your day by doing oil pulling while doing other things, e.g. taking a shower, cooking breakfast, doing laundry etc.
  • Sesame oil is traditional, but we recommend Organic Coconut oil or MCT oil for the added antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and healing effects.
  • If you’ve never swished before, start by doing it for 5 minutes initially and increase swishing time each day until you reach 15-20 minutes comfortably.
  • For acute jaw, gum and/or tooth pain, swish twice a day, 2 hours away from meals.
  • Never swallow your swishing oil! Always spit it out.

The Truth About White Teeth

If you want naturally white teeth first look within.

Your teeth are living organisms connected to every other part of your body. What you eat, how and where you live, the air you breathe, the water you drink, how well and deep you sleep, the thoughts you think, what you believe, the EMFs, technologies and other man-made substances and devices you use/expose yourself to all impact your internal body chemistry, your nervous system functioning, your blood chemistry, and your hormone production – responsible for sending out substances that control many vital bodily processes – which in turn will reflect in your oral health and the whiteness of your dentine, which is fed by internal fluids.

Healthy dentine is naturally pearly white and enamel is actually translucent. So if your enamel is clean and stain free, and is bathed in saliva at a pH of 7 enabling minerals to flow freely to the tooth; and if your dentine is strong and has a continual supply of nutrients to sustain it, then your teeth will be a natural white colour – not a glow-in-the-dark white like we have been led to believe. Even in the event of a cavity, under the right conditions, dentine can regenerate by sending odtonoblast cells to the site of decay to lay down a secondary layer of dentine – similar to how the skin will repair itself by laying down new layers of skin over damaged sites.

True whiteness comes from within. We Love Organics Organic Oral Care range is designed to help Heal, Nurture, Maintain and Support healthy oral ecology while keeping the mouth clean. For truly white and healthy teeth, we recommend using We Love Organics Oral Care range in conjunction with a well-balanced and health-nurturing lifestyle and diet.
