Formed from volcanic ash that has been trapped in sea-beds in Australia for eons, our Bentonite Clay has been harvested, dried and milled without the use of chemicals.

How to Use Bentonite Clay

Bentonite Clay has a myriad of applications. Here are just some of the ways you can use our Bentonite Clay:

  1. Bentonite Clay can be used a talcum powder replacement relieving nappy and heat rash. A little bentonite clay goes a long way, so you won’t need a lot.
  2. When applied topically, bentonite clay can act as an antibiotic treatment. Simply mix with just enough filtered water to make a paste, apply to the affected skin and allow to dry before washing off. Use to treat eczema, skin infections, nappy rash, contact dermatitis, or inflammation.
  3. Bentonite Clay makes a wonderful face mask! It is great for balancing sebum levels in the skin and preventing acne blemishes. Use a little filtered water to make a paste, apply to clean skin and leave for 10 minutes to harden, then wash off. Use as an exfoliating scrub as you wash off by gently rubbing clay particles in a circular motion.
  4. Draw out poisons like bee stings, stinging nettle rash, bug bites etc. by making a poultice: mix together 1/8 cup bentonite clay with 1/4 cup filtered water or cooled chamomile tea. Apply liberally to affected area and wrap a gauze around it to lock it in. Let sit for 2-3 hours before removing, then wash off. Repeat up to 3 times a day or as needed.
