Our Organic Activated Charcoal in a glass jar is 100% Activated Carbon, made from organic coconut shells that have been harvested in Sri Lanka, before being steam activated and carefully prepared into a superfine powder without the use of chemicals.

Activated Charcoal is a highly porous, powerful detoxifier adsorbing toxins and impurities from the skin and body. It has been used since ancient times to detoxify skin and body. It can also be used to help cleanse skin, regulate sebum production and prevent bacterial build-up that causes acne, blemishes and oily skin.

We recommend using our Activated Charcoal with our non-reactive Bamboo Spoon.

Always mix charcoal with clean, purified, filtered water. Always use with Activated Charcoal. Do not use metal utensils as Activated Charcoal may bind to the metals which in turn may compromise the potency of the clay (e.g. it’s maximum adsorption potential). We recommend using our Bamboo Spoon and glass or ceramic bowls with our Activated Charcoal.

Always seal lid between use. Store out of reach of children and pets. Store out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry, dark place.

Activated Charcoal has a multitude of uses. Here is just one way you can use our Activated Charcoal:

Activated Charcoal makes a wonderful face mask! It is great for balancing sebum levels in the skin, drawing out impurities under the surface of the skin, and helping reduce acne and blemishes.

To make a mask paste, use a little purified, filtered water. Apply to clean skin and leave for 10 minutes until mask has become firm, then wash off. Use as an exfoliating scrub as you wash off by gently rubbing clay particles in a circular motion.
